A family owned and operated business, in conjunction with a clean energy asset management firm, is looking to hire a full-time person to perform a variety of plant operator functions. If you are an individual who enjoys diversification in your job, then this may be the position for you.
The Biogas plant operator role is dedicated to keeping accurate daily records of plant processing equipment to ensure optimal production levels. The plant operator’s responsibilities include regular maintenance of equipment and resolving any operational issues that may arise. You will be required to communicate with contractors, vendors, and co-workers.
To be successful as a plant operator, you must liaise between management and co-workers on operational issues at the facility. The plant operator is responsible for efficient running of the plant’s equipment and to identify and rectify issues with speed and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
•Monitoring and overseeing plant operations, by gathering, properly documenting, analyzing and reporting data or adjusting to proper standards set out.
•Performing or assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment.
•Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against weekly receiving schedule.
•Unload received items, storing them in designated areas pits and tanks.
•Complete receiving documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
•Complete shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
•Perform quality checks (raw material inspection) on received products.
•The proper usage and documentation of programs utilized in the Preventative Maintenance of the Operation.
•Identifying problems that arise and resolving or reporting them.
Required Qualifications
•A minimum of a , high school, college or trade school education
•A willingness to continually learn
•Proficiency in math and technical subjects
•Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•Excellent Computer skills.
•An understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
•The ability to understand, follow, and apply policies, practices, and operating procedures.
•A proven ability to work independently as well as within a team.
•Commitment to working in an extremely safety-conscious environment.
