The Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for training, scheduling and the overall leadership of hourly maintenance employees. Key objectives include adherence to safety standards and production expectations.

•Responsible for supervising maintenance activities, which include underground and surface mine maintenance, plant operations and servicing all equipment.
•Work with management on preventive maintenance needs for the plant and mobile equipment
•Lead and develop the hourly maintenance workforce.
•Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations.
•Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
•Ability to complete and or ensure competent tasks in general maintenance, welding and electrical is completed to meet safety and production expectations.
•Responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to meet safety and production expectations. Create work orders before work begins and close them out within 24 hours of completion
•Performs incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
•Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office products, JDE and other software as needed
•Other duties as assigned
Competencies
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise up to 15 direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time regularly requiring long hours and weekend work.

Occasional travel will be required.
Required Education and Experience
•An Associate’s Degree in a Skill Trades Capacity, two or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
•A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and four or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
