Job Title: Plant Maintenance Assistant

Starting Pay: $20-23 (depending on welding experience) per hour

Reports to: Site supervisor

Position Summary:

The Plant Maintenance Assistant position is an important position at the plant in order to maintain overall standards and a safe work environment. The Plant Maintenance Assistant allows someone to learn about our operations while repairing and maintaining plant equipment. This person will perform preventative maintenance and fabrication as needed. This is a good position for someone who would like to learn the business and grow with the company. This position is good for someone who likes to work with other people, be outside, be a part of a team, and perform different tasks throughout the day.

Minimum Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains all plant equipment

· Part of the production team at the plant

· Conducts daily safety and maintenance inspections

· Helps set-up and maintain the plant to maximize production capabilities

· Operates smaller equipment to assist with plant maintenance, including skid steers, manlifts, forklifts and backhoes (training will be provided)

· Able to adhere to MSHA guidelines and plant safety rules and regulations

· Openness to learn how to operate various types of mobile equipment

· Problem solving and trouble shooting skills

Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Pre-employment drug screening

· Able to work outdoors in most weather conditions

· Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs. Job may require crouching, stooping, or crawling.

· Stand for extended periods

· Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

· Able to swing 16-pound hammer

· Able to use impact wrench

· Able to pull chain/cable hoist

· Able to climb steps/ladders

· Able to work in small/high spaces
