Position Summary:
The Plant Foreman oversees the daily operations of the processing plant, ensuring efficient production, compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining quality control. This position is responsible for supervising plant personnel, coordinating maintenance activities, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage production schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold company standards. Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise plant operations and personnel on assigned shifts to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
•Monitor equipment performance and coordinate repairs or maintenance with internal teams and vendors.
•Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
•Assign duties and monitor work progress to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.
•Train, coach, and evaluate employees to maintain high performance and engagement.
•Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and optimize plant efficiency.
•Maintain accurate records related to production, maintenance, and employee performance.
•Investigate incidents and near-miss events; participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions.
•Served as a liaison between plant workers and upper management.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.
•5+ years of experience in an industrial, mining, or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
•Strong knowledge of plant equipment, operations, and safety protocols.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and operating instructions.
•Comfortable working in physically demanding and outdoor environments.
•Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in harsh weather conditions.
•You must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
•Workers may be exposed to loud noises, dust, chemicals, and heavy machinery.
