JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is looking for a technician based out of Deer Park, TX that will be responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment within an assigned area. Work schedule will be Monday - Friday 7am - 4 pm with some overtime and callout. This is considered an intermediate or journey-level position that the incumbent can perform independently or with minimal supervision.
The Technician is responsible for providing operational, technical, electrical, and mechanical support for all pipeline and facility assets. Incumbents are responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment within an assigned area.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
•Provide technical support for assigned location(s), which primarily involve the transportation of crude oil, refined products, and other liquids associated with the refining process.
•Maintain a working knowledge of company policies/procedures as they relate to the operation/maintenance of the assigned assets, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices. Attend and actively participate in required safety training and meetings.
•Perform routine testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assigned mainline and facility equipment/systems, including but not limited to: electric motors, electrical equipment, electronic and/or pneumatic instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, measurement systems, product testing & analysis, piping systems, valves, actuators, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, coriolis meters, turbine meters and ultrasonic meters as well as other similar midstream equipment and systems.
•Complete and maintain required documentation/records associated with performed maintenance and repair.
•Manage location projects, including major equipment overhauls, pump and mechanical seals replace and/or repair, electric motor replace and/or repair, or new equipment installations or modifications of existing equipment, etc.
•Perform other functions as requested by the Supervisor of Operations.
Education
•High school diploma required

•Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including but not limited to:
•Electronic testing devices
•Computers and related software
•Governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes
•Company policies and procedures including safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems
•Reliability Based Programs
•Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals
•Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings, and material and supply orders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Knowledge of: the use and function of pumps, electronic motors, VFD’s, pipeline measurement practices and processing equipment applicable to position
•Knowledge of: instrumentation, electricity, hand held tools and control systems
•Ability to: apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebraic formulas
•Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
•Ability to: read and interpret alignment sheets, P&IDs, electrical schematics and one-line drawings
•Ability to: be a self-starter, self-motivated individual that can work both independently or within a team environment
