Reports To: Foreman
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary: Works day-to-day on assigned piping tasks, or other assigned tasks. Assist with all work on a project such as, but not limited to lifting, carrying, sorting, loading, unloading of material as well as cleaning of job areas. Creates the type of positive work environment that helps maintain a sufficient and qualified work force. Operates under specific supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Attend all jobsites and office meetings related to assigned tasks, as needed.
•Be well prepared to handle issues that may come up.
•Provide labor work needed for the specific jobsite in a positive, efficient, and timely matter.
•Focus on safety and safety practices first and foremost during all task assignments.
•Ensure the quality and profitability of each project by eliminating waste in materials and labor whenever possible.
•Willingness to learn the trade and jump in and assist when needed.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
•Any construction, piping or plumbing experience helpful
•Able to use basic tools (hammer, adjustable wrench, tape measure, etc.).
•Reliable, dependable, and display good character.
Physical Requirements:
•Eyesight correctable to 20/50
•Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy labor tasks.
•Able to stand for extended periods of time.
•Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.
•Lift items weighing up to 60 lbs.
•Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
•Must be able to work often at tall heights, from ladders, and lifts.
Special Requirements
•OSHA 10 Certification a plus
•Must provide own basic hand tools (tape measure, adjustable wrench, tongue and groove pliers i.e. channel locks, torpedo level).
