Pipe Fitter – Shutdown Project
Location: Conklin Area, AB
Position Type: Contract
Wage/Salary Range:
•4th Year Apprentice: $44.20/hr
•3rd Year Apprentice: $39/hr
•Additional $3/hr night shift premium
•Overtime paid after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week (8/44 rule)
•Travel allowance up to 7 hours provided at the beginning and end of the project (based on home location)
Shift Schedule: 12 days on, 2 days off; night or day shifts
Hours Per Day: 12 hours

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Pipe Fitter to join our Valued Clients team at the Christina Lake – Poplar Ridge site. This is a Contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.
Responsibilities:
•Interpret and follow construction drawings and piping isometrics
•Measure, cut, thread, bend and assemble pipes
•Install and secure pipe systems and related equipment
•Adhere to safety regulations and protocols throughout shutdown operations
Qualifications:
•Valid Journeyman certification or Registered Apprentice status (3rd or 4th Year)
•CSO or CSTS2020 certification
•Fall Protection certification
•Must provide hard copies of all valid tickets
•Must pass Drug & Alcohol test within 14 days of first day on site
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience working on industrial shutdowns
•Strong understanding of shutdown safety procedures
•Ability to work long shifts and in remote camp environments
Work Environment:
•Work is based at a remote oil and gas facility
•Camp accommodation provided at Christina Lake
•Daily bussing available between camp and worksite
•Workers must provide their own transportation to and from camp
