We are looking for a qualified warehouse worker to join our team at our main warehouse in Baton Rouge. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to company standards.
Responsibilities:
•
Prepare (Pick and Pull) customer orders for delivery or pickup
•
Prepare shipments (pick and pack) for inter-company warehouse transfers
•
Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately
•
Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
•
Treat merchandise with care and concern at all times
•
Maintain a basic understanding of the company’s products
•
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
•
Flexibility to assist in other warehouse tasks as workload dictates
•
Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards
Work Experience, Skills and Education:
•
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
•
Ability to use ladders and stairs, crouch down, push carts, work on feet, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
•
Computer literate
•
Basic math skills (adding and subtracting), and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work
•
Work well individually and as a team
•
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
•
Any experience with Tecsys.
