About This Job

CP Energy, a privately-owned midstream company, is seeking a driven, results-oriented individual for the position of Parts Associate in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Primary responsibilities include:

•

Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels

•

Monitoring the current parts inventory

•

Pricing parts in maintenance system

•

Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them

•

Helping team members find and purchase the correct parts

•

Overseeing special orders

•

Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs

Preferred Candidate Requirements include:

•

Sales and customer service skills if working with the general public

•

Strong written and verbal communication skills

•

Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates

•

Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues

•

Previous mechanic or car sales experience

•

Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment

•

Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly

•

Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts

•

The typical Parts Associate has extensive experience in the automotive industry, which might include work as a mechanic, auto body technician or car salesperson.

•

Previous experience in a parts department, including work as an Assistant Parts Associate, equips the candidate with a strong background to handle the position.

•

Sales, management and customer service experience is also useful.

•

Most experience happens on the job, but some Parts Associates might complete certificate programs at tech schools that give them hands-on experience while they learn.

•

A high school diploma or GED.

•

One to three years in automotive parts and one or more years’ experience;

•

One-year certificate from a technical school, an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
