Part Time Preschool Assistant Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting literacy and math skills, and supporting the overall development of children in our care.

Duties

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and social skills.

- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.

- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.

- Observe and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including cognitive, emotional, and social skills.

- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's development and address any concerns.

- Support children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

- Foster a love for learning through creative activities such as arts, crafts, music, and movement.

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that promotes safety and well-being.

- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.

- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.

- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Ability to develop curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.

- Experience in behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among students.

- A compassionate approach to teaching with an understanding of the unique needs of each child.
