Custom Fabricators & Repairs, Inc is seeking a part-time Administrative/Executive Support person to support our structural steel fabrication division. This position offers high-visibility, growth opportunities, and exciting builds.

Custom Fabricators & Repairs, Inc is a well-respected miscellaneous metals & structural steel fabricator who has been in business for over three decades. Quality and service are the core principles of our company, and we prioritize excellent relationships with our clients. We are the only AISC certificated structural steel fabricator in Bryan, TX. We provide structural & misc steel, as well misc material sales (steel, aluminum, stainless steel), misc repairs, custom work, and job shop services. We service clients in the commercial retail/residential/office, educational, pharmaceutical, food service, manufacturing industries and more.

The successful candidate will have some experience as an administrative/executive assistant in the construction/fabrication field or at least a college degree (or some college coursework) in the construction or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of the different types of metals as well as structural steel is a plus. Experience with structural steel projects is helpful, but not necessary. Hands-on working knowledge STRUMIS is a definite plus. Must have strong communication skills, analysis and critical thinking skills, and the ability to meet deadlines as well as be extremely organized and ability to multitask. This individual must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, focused as well as possess strong leadership qualities. You will provide comprehensive administrative/executive support to the production office (accounting, front desk, inside sales and project management). You will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that contribute to the overall organization, communication, and productivity of each department. Must be able to work in a small, friendly (very busy) environment.

Job Summary: Responsible for providing administrative/executive support in the production office (accounting, front desk, inside sales and project management). Expected to meet multiple deadlines in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily if not above expectations. Key Performance Objectives (not an all-inclusive list of duties/expectations)

· Provide administrative/executive support to ensure efficient operation of the office.

· Prepare and format documents, reports, presentations, spreadsheets as required.


· Printing, copying, scanning, filing.

· Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate individuals.

· Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.

· Perform data entry and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.

· Assist Accountant, Inside Sales, Front Desk, and Project Managers.

· Backup for front desk (figuring tickets, answering phones, assist with checking customers out, etc)

Assist with office tasks such as keeping office and supplies organized and replenished as well as helping organize and maintain office common areas.
Using various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and QuickBooks
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.


· Additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements and Qualifications:

1 year experience or Construction Science/Manufacturing degree/student preferred.


· Math and analytical skills.

Must be able to read a tape measure.


· Verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees.


· Organizational, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.


· Deadline driven.

· Strong regard for product quality and safety standards.

Excellent computer skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
Bilingual will be a plus.
Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
