Paint & Blast Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paint Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and materials handling, with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail. This role is essential in ensuring that all painting tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of our production process.

Role specific responsibilities

· Prepares machinery/parts for coating.

· Mixes and applies coating per specifications.

· Removes masking.

· Operates forklift or crane as needed.

· Assists Blaster as needed.

· Performs housekeeping maintenance of painting areas. Wearing a respirator for extended periods of time.

· Working alone for extended periods of time.

· Bending, climbing, kneeling, for extended periods of time.

· The working environment is subject to climate change. The technician needs to monitor core temperature.

· Responsible for supporting all quality measures and procedures.

· All other duties assigned, as appropriate.

Physical Requirements:

· Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

· Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.

· Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.

· Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously

Skills & Knowledge Required:

· Ability to operate a forklift and crane preferred

· Basic skills and knowledge of steel shot and grit blasting

· 1-3 years of verifiable experience with standard industrial coatings

· HS Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
