Performs packaging duties, shipping and receiving and general warehousing.
Responsibilities:
•Preparation and packaging of product for shipment per procedures.
•Required Quality training on the final visual inspection process of products being packaged and shipped to customer or vendor.
•Reviews and verifies Outgoing shipments to ensure products and documentation meet the specified requirements. Confirms the engineering configuration and counts, weighs, or measures items of Customer shipments against the Job packet, bill of lading, orders, packaging slips or other records.
•Work within company shipping software to update job status.
•Analyze current processes and work within team to make more efficient.
•Write and update procedures that pertain to position.
•Manages and orders supplies for ship prep area.
•Ensure area and all workstations are organized and clean.
•Operates forklift truck.
•Processes outsource work.
•All other requested duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
•Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
•Preferred: Zero to 10 years (depending on level) packaging, warehousing, shipping, and receiving experience and/or training.
•Previous Packaging, Shipping and Receiving experience.
•Working knowledge of Warehousing and or Logistics processes.
•Mechanical aptitude required.
•Working knowledge of Lot, Heat, and Batch Control is a plus.
•Excel, Word, - Intermediate preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings.
•Experience in inventory control and/or shipping and receiving is a plus.
•Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•Possess basic to intermediate skills in MS office products including Word and Excel.
•Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvements.
•Should be well organized, able to prioritize and be a multi-tasked self-starter.
•Strong mechanical background a plus.
•Ability to learn, adapt and provide solutions.
•Knowledgeable with computers, Microsoft software, ERP systems, etc.

Work Environment/Conditions:
•This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
