Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building client relationships and maintaining organized, efficient office operations. You will play a critical part in driving business growth through outside sales while also ensuring administrative tasks are handled accurately and professionally.
You must be comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively in an office environment.
Key Responsibilities Outside Sales Responsibilities
•Prospect and develop relationships with potential clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
•Understand client needs and provide customized product or service recommendations.
•Create and deliver tailored sales presentations.
•Sales Negotiation & Closing
•Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales.
•Maintain follow-up communication to build long-term relationships.
•Sales Tracking & Reporting
•Maintain detailed records in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
•Prepare and submit regular progress reports and sales forecasts.
•Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and network.
Administrative Responsibilities
•Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and provide timely assistance.
•Resolve customer issues or escalate when necessary.
•Process customer orders and invoices.
•Coordinate with warehouse and logistics for product delivery.
•Scheduling & Coordination
•Manage calendars, arrange meetings, and coordinate travel.
•Organize internal team meetings and events.
•Documentation & Reporting
•Maintain accurate customer and transaction records.
•Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and proposals.
•Support the sales team with admin tasks and office supply management.
•Ensure smooth daily operations of the office.
Required Qualifications
•Minimum 1 year in sales (outside sales preferred).
•Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Effective negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
•Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
•High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education an asset).
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
•Willingness to travel locally/regionally.
•Creative problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
•Industry knowledge related to metal products or construction materials is a plus.
Physical Requirements
•Frequent travel to client locations.
•Occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 lbs).
