We’re searching for a Outside Sales Representative who’s passionate about connecting with people, learning their challenges, and crafting solutions that make their operations stronger and more efficient.
This isn’t a maintenance or account management role — it’s a prospecting and relationship-building position. You’ll be out in the field, on the phone, and online — identifying opportunities, asking the right questions, and helping clients envision what’s possible with SPS West on their side.
- Find and develop new business opportunities across Western Canada in metal fabrication, welding, and custom pipe projects.
- Engage with decision-makers across industries — from engineers to project managers — and uncover their needs through thoughtful, consultative conversation.
- Collaborate with our estimating, engineering, and fabrication teams to deliver practical, creative solutions.
- Build long-term relationships based on trust, insight, and technical understanding.
- Exceed targets by driving new revenue and helping expand our footprint in key markets.
- Stay sharp — track competitor activity and market trends to anticipate client needs before they do.
- A hunter at heart — you love starting conversations, building rapport, and turning “no” into “not yet.”
- 3+ years of B2B industrial or technical sales experience (fabrication, welding, or piping background is a major plus).- Able to read and interpret drawings and specs — or eager to learn quickly.
- A strategic listener and problem solver who thrives on curiosity and follow-through.
- Goal-oriented, self-driven, and motivated by measurable results.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license; regional travel required.
- Competitive Compensation: Base salary ($70,000–$80,000) plus commission.
