We are seeking a proactive Field Service Sales Manager to join our team at our Brighton, CO branch.


Compensation: $50,000 base salary, plus commissions


Position Summary

The Colorado Field Service Sales position is responsible for driving growth in Generator Source rentals and service contracts across the state of Colorado. This role develops new business, expands existing accounts, and builds strong customer relationships in industries that depend on reliable power solutions, including construction, utilities, data centers, events, property management, healthcare, and emergency response. The manager partners with operations and service teams to deliver exceptional solutions that drive revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development

- Identify, target, and secure new customers for Generator Source rental and service agreements.

- Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities.

- Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.

- Achieve or exceed revenue and profitability goals for the State of Colorado.


Account Management & Customer Success

- Maintain and develop key customer relationships; serve as a trusted advisor.

- Cross-sell and upsell across rental and service offerings.

- Conduct customer business reviews to align solutions with evolving needs.

- Ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.


Market Development

- Research and analyze regional market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.

- Participate in industry associations, tradeshows, and networking events to expand presence.

- Provide feedback to leadership on product, pricing, and competitive positioning.


Collaboration & Coordination

- Work closely with the Colorado Regional Manager, service teams, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.

- Partner with marketing to execute campaigns, events, and lead generation initiatives.

- Coordinate with service managers to align rental availability and preventive maintenance capacity.


Reporting & Forecasting

- Maintain accurate Salesforce (CRM) records of opportunities, customer interactions, and contracts.

- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and regional growth plans to leadership.

- Track and report on KPIs including revenue, utilization, new account wins, and contract renewals.


Qualifications


Education & Experience

- 5+ years of sales/business development experience, with at least 2+ years in power generation, equipment rental, or industrial services.

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional revenue targets.


Skills & Competencies

- Strong hunter mentality with proven ability to close large contracts.

- Knowledge of power generation systems (diesel, natural gas, portable, standby generators).

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in CRM systems (NetSuite. Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar).

- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Regional revenue growth (rentals, service contracts).

- New account acquisition rate.

- Customer retention and satisfaction scores.

- Market share growth in target industries.

- Cross-sell/upsell conversion rates.

- Accuracy of pipeline forecasting.
