Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking an OTP Application Engineering Manager.
SUMMARY
The OTP Application Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the Application Engineering group and coordinating activities within the Outage Technologies and Processes (OTP) Power Skills department. This includes managing and planning Generator Bulletins (GBs), improving execution processes, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project readiness. The role supports business excellence by overseeing pre-planning, engineering coordination, and parts ordering for generator-related work scopes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage the OTP Application Engineering group.
•Create and maintain financial information in engineering folders.
•Coordinate with Project Managers, OTP Generator Service Engineering (GSE), and site leads to track performance of Generator Bulletins (GBs).
•Maintain and update GBs in Windchill.
•Develop Excel-based tracking tools for labor time allocation and algorithm development.
•Collaborate with OTP GSE, MELCO/MEPPI, and Mitsubishi Generator teams.
•Coordinate with LTSA Program Managers and Operations Managers to ensure timely parts ordering.
•Develop unit-specific and outage-specific work scopes, including associated parts lists.
•Track generator parts quotes through third-party vendors.
•Maintain and track generator parts orders and bill of materials (BOMs).
•Manage disposition of Engineering Service Requests (ESRs) related to generator parts and GBs.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent field experience plus 15+ years in the industry or operations projects. Experience with content management tools and engineering applications is required.
Language Skills:
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business journals, technical procedures, and regulatory documents.
•Ability to write technical reports, procedures, and correspondence.
•Strong presentation and communication skills for interaction with clients and stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills:
•Knowledge of probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
•Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.
Reasoning Ability:
•Ability to define problems, gather and interpret data, and draw valid conclusions.
•Capable of interpreting technical instructions in various forms and managing abstract or concrete challenges.
Computer Skills:
•Proficiency in SAP, Windchill, project management tools, spreadsheets, word processing, email, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, and scheduling software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Regularly required to stand and walk.
•Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
•Work environment ranges from moderate to loud noise levels.
•Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
