- This position is responsible for providing technical support to operations in an effort to optimize production and achieve maximum compression run time.
- Beat Leader for 1-2 beats (geographical collection of 100-200 wells).
- Provides operational related troubleshooting, leadership, and support.
- Trains and assures competency of new operators on compression and production operations.
- Maintains regulatory and asset integrity compliance.
- Compiles daily operations reports.
- Calculates and tracks spill and flare/blowdown volumes.
- Prepares and validates site specific operations procedures.
- Performs inspections, testing, repair, installation and equipment repair.
- On-Call Operations supervisor during assigned weekends.
- Assists in loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data.
- Proactively completes all required training and EHS KPIs.
- Member of local ICS team.
- Job level will commensurate with experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience in the oil and gas industry and/or equivalent industry.
- Understands basic oilfield terminology and operations.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required.
- Proven track record in operating oil and gas operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and give technical presentations.
- Good computer skills. Experience with MS Office suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wellbore diagrams, assembly and detail drawings, isometric drawings, plan and elevation drawings, P&IDs, invoices and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Ability to take direction from supervisors and work with others.
- Ability to hand multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with KM CO2’s management systems (Spera Cloud, CAM, ISNetWorld, LMS, OOOb, audits, etc.).
- Extended hours during upset conditions
- Work outside in all weather conditions as needed
- Reside within a 30 min response time to the field (Iraan, Sheffield, McCamey or Rankin) while acting as on-call supervisor.
- Subject to extended hours, callout and holidays.
- Will be required to perform temporary supervisory duties as needed.
Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities: Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
- College degree or technical school certificate
- 5+ years oil/gas experience in one or more fields – operations, well work, regulatory compliance, engineering, geosciences- Live full time within a 30 min response time to the field (Iraan, Sheffield, McCamey or Rankin)
