Leading manufacturing company providing machining, brazing, and robotic welding services of
wear part consumables for the forestry and demolition industries is seeking to fill a Day
CNC Lathe Setup/Operator position for its Clare, MI location.
Perform daily maintenance of machines and equipment including, but not limited to,
Verify settings, first-run part, and sample work pieces to ensure that parts conform to
tolerance on blueprints using various measurement devices (vernier, micrometer, bore
Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions; perform troubleshooting processes;
adjust and reprogram controls as required, Mazatrol experience preferred;
Perform preventative maintenance and call for repairs as required;
Operate machines (machining center, turning center, etc) and handle parts as required;
HS/GED required; Minimum two years vocational training certification or related work
Mechanical knowledge to determine various tooling machine functions with good
Special and form perception with finger and manual dexterity to interpret blueprints,
verify dimensions of machine parts, and perform machining operations;
Functional mechanical knowledge with good trouble-shooting skills;
Functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimals with
ability to perform measurement computing using various measurement devices;
Self-starter with team member mentality and ability to perform well under pressure to
Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work overtime;
Fine manipulation, close visual acuity, near/far vision, multi-limb coordination with
climbing ability, verbal interaction skills, and moderate/heavy lifting capability (up to 65
