Operator - Class 1

Class 1 Driver – Full-Time

About the Role

Challenger Technical Services is seeking Class 1 Drivers to operate our patent-pending ACU Cementing Units across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and B.C. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to work with cutting-edge equipment in a family-oriented company that values safety, professionalism, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate our advanced, climate-controlled, and nearly fully automated ACU Cementing Units.

- Assist with specialty daytime cementing operations (no night-time primary work).

- Drive top-of-the-line KW and Peterbilt trucks with Cummins ISX engines and 18-speed manual transmissions.

- Provide on-site support to field engineers and ensure safe transport of equipment and materials.

Requirements

Licensing & Certifications

- Valid Class 1 License (required)

- Applicable safety tickets

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience

- Experience driving in off-road conditions (mud, hills, highways)

- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Clear verbal communication and the ability to follow direction

Compensation & Schedule

- Competitive wages: $38.00 – $45.00/hour

- Shift schedule: 7 On / 4 Off / 7 On / 3 Off

Additional Information

Due to the proprietary nature of our ACU technology, in-house training will be provided.

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Lloydminster, AB before starting work.
