Operates crushing and processing plant equipment in a production capacity. Operates mobile equipment. Performs quality testing of in process products. Works under limited supervision in accordance with established federal & state regulations and company prescribed work procedures and safety policies. Performs housekeeping activities. Performs minor maintenance of production equipment.

- Wears specified protective clothing and equipment, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, safety goggles, hi-vis, and steel-toed boots; maintains good housekeeping practices; and follows prescribed safety policies and procedures.

- Accurately completes all necessary work-place exams and documentation as required.
- Starts and operates machinery, including but not limited roller mills, pellet mills, conveyors, pneumatic blowers and dust collectors in a safe and efficient manner. Continuously monitors efficiency throughout shift.
- Insures proper connections are made to obtain required product from the proper storage vessel.
- Obtain and analyze samples in a laboratory setting as required and, in the manner prescribed.
- Operates mobile equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, and personnel lifts to support milling and crushing operations when necessary.
- Generates Certificate of Analysis (C of A) with test results for customer orders.
- Performs assigned routine maintenance on machinery and equipment as required.
- Keeps area(s) of assignment clean of spills. Cleans assigned area(s) on a routine basis. Coordinates housekeeping for assigned area(s).
- Completes daily production logs and maintenance work orders and all required report forms.
- Required to instruct or assist in the instruction or training of others; take additional training as necessary; and/or assist with the installation, relocation, and testing of equipment.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
- Forklift Certification/License preferred.
- Mineral processing, crushing experience, and/or knowledge of HMI plant production equipment preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and listening comprehension.
- Communicate in a reasonable, logical, adult-to-adult manner.
- Possesses an excellent working knowledge of computer operation and demonstrates ability to perform advanced computer functions.
- Assist others with their tasks, accept coaching and decisions, and understand team goals.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- First aid, CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Occasional climbing of ladders and stairs.
- Frequent standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time.
- Exposure to weather elements.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lb.
