Repair, maintain, install, and monitor all Dispatch Fleet Management System hardware at the Ray Mine. Repair, maintain, and install radio and data communication systems at Ray Mine. Assist with emergency repairs of similar systems at the Asarco Hayden facility. The Operations Systems Technician will work closely with the Control Systems Communications Technician.
- Install, maintain, and repair Modular Mining Inc. Dispatch Fleet Management System hardware on shovels, trucks, drills, water trucks, mobile equipment, and other locations.
- Repair, maintain, and install radio communication systems at the Ray Mine.
- Repair, maintain, and install Fatigue Management systems in mobile equipment.
- Assist with slope stability/Dispatch interface.
- Maintain a working inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Maintain fuel and tire management systems.
- Repair, maintain, and install closed circuit video systems at Ray Mine.
- Communicate with maintenance, production, and management to ensure a reliable and effective Dispatch system.
- Coordinate safety issues with Ray and Hayden safety departments.
- Maintain documents, manuals, and maintenance records.
- Assist Control Systems Communications Technician and cross-train in their duties.
- Assist Corporate IT with network and hardware installation and maintenance.
- Assist with installation and maintenance of weather stations at the Ray Complex.
- Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications to communicate with others.
- Knowledge of Modular Mining Inc. Dispatch Fleet Management System including hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot Dispatch system failures and identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
- Knowledge of Ethernet and various other networking technologies.
- Knowledge of radio systems used for voice and data.
- Knowledge of Unix and Microsoft Windows workstation hardware and software.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, and testing and calibrating equipment.
- Ability to read plant, network, and equipment drawings.
- Ability to read electrical prints.
- Ability to work with vendors and suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and maintenance records.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Associate degree or equivalent.
- 4 to 6 years of experience with Dispatch systems.
- Experience maintaining radio systems.
- Background in electrical and electronic systems.
- The job requires training or instruction in the area of Environmental Awareness.
- This job requires training or instruction in the area of Safety & Health Awareness including completion of the appropriate MSHA training.
