The Operations Service Technician is a multi-functional position that supports warehouse operations, facility maintenance, vehicle care, and field technician services. This role is designed to ensure seamless day-to-day support across departments by assisting with shipping and receiving, light building maintenance, small equipment refurbishing, company vehicle upkeep, administrative tasks, and occasional field work. This position will also assist supervisors and technicians as needed and will take on additional duties to maintain full-time productivity.
· Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and verifying items received.
· Package shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and upload invoices and packing lists into internal systems.
· Support inventory activities, including organizing and placing incoming materials in storage.
· Perform light building maintenance such as bulb replacement, small repairs, minor installations, and janitorial duties.
· Refurbish carts and equipment with light body work including sanding, painting, grinding.
· Conduct company vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotation, and regular washing.
· Operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain cleanliness and safety of workspace and staging areas.
· Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) for scheduling, reporting, and internal communication.
· Assist field technicians and supervisors as needed, including occasional fieldwork.
· Support additional department tasks during periods of low workload to ensure full-time productivity.
· 2+ years of experience in a maintenance, warehouse, field technician, or operations support role.
· Experience with light construction, carpentry, or body work (e.g., Bondo, sanding, painting) is a strong plus.
· Familiarity with small engine or vehicle maintenance.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
· Strong ability to adapt, multitask, and stay proactive during downtime.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
