Accounting-Focused Operations Manager in Construction
Job Summary:
As an Accounting-Focused Operations Manager in a construction company, you'll play a key role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring efficient project execution. Your primary objective will be to integrate financial oversight with operational efficiency, ensuring projects remain financially viable and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
•- Develop and manage project budgets to ensure cost control and profitability.
•- Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and forecasting for ongoing projects.
•- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Operational Oversight:
•- Collaborate with project managers to align financial goals with operational execution.
•- Optimize resource allocation, procurement, and vendor negotiations to minimize costs.
•- Implement financial risk mitigation strategies to prevent cost overruns.
3. Accounting and Reporting:
•- Supervise accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and project accounting.
•- Prepare financial reports, including Work in Process (WIP) reports and budget updates.
•- Conduct financial audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
4. Strategic Leadership:
•- Provide financial insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
•- Lead process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
•- Mentor accounting and operations teams on financial best practices.

The Accounting-Focused Operations Manager will report to the CEO/CFO and work closely with:

•- Develop and coach employees to optimize their capabilities.
Requirements:
•- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
•- 5+ years of experience managing complex enterprises' finances, operations, and strategies
•- Proven track record of outstanding performance and managing complex budgets
•- Demonstrated experience in ethical leadership and excellent verbal and written communication skills
•- Ability to make business projections and experience with Sage Accounting Software is a plus.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $84,000.00 per month
