Operations Clerk

WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Operations Clerk in our Oshkosh, Wisconsin location.

Job Summary

The Operations Clerk provides efficient customer service by handling customer requests, maintaining operations communications, processing work requests, and maintaining records. This position supports efficient operations by scheduling appointments, and creating and routing job packets.

Job Responsibilities

+ create, run and maintain queries in the work management system + update job tasks as required + process information updates + create job packets, including equipment tags + request locates + release job to construction and maintenance personnel + job closings + process daily orders + examples of systems to include (ARCOS, Resource Tracker and OM Web) + communicate information to customers, contractors, and crews. (General knowledge pertaining to gas and electric distribution and equipment required.) + enter information into appropriate systems and filing records. + coordinate routine gas and electric work to construction and maintenance personnel + follow distribution standards, company policies, and procedures + provide necessary support for customer restoration efforts and gas emergencies

Testing requirements

Basic Clerical Aptitude test (BCAB aka SASS): Ability to classify information according to preset rules; spelling and grammar; basic mathematics; filing and sorting information. Suggested Preparation: Review of basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages; review rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation; and alphabetizing or putting items in order.

Minimum Posting Range: $27.31

Maximum Posting Range: $36.30

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
