Plains All American (PAA) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). An Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction/maintenance projects within the organization. This position involves working closely with construction supervisors, team members, and stakeholders to analyze project data, monitor progress, and provide insights that contribute to informed decision-making. The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the entire construction project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, with a focus on optimizing processes and achieving project objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Construction Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with construction supervisors to develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Assist in defining construction project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Coordinate construction project activities and facilitate communication among team members.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret construction project data to provide insights on project performance.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards for construction supervisors and stakeholders.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and propose appropriate actions.
Financial Management:
Assist in budget planning and tracking construction project expenditures.
Monitor financial performance against construction project budgets and forecast variances.
Provide cost-benefit analysis for construction project-related decisions.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and document construction project risks.
Work with the construction project team to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor and report on the status of identified risks throughout the construction project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control processes specific to construction projects.
Ensure adherence to construction project management methodologies and standards.
Conduct construction project audits to assess compliance with established processes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and expectations for construction projects.
Provide updates and reports to stakeholders on construction project progress.
Address stakeholder concerns and ensure alignment with construction project goals.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the context of construction projects.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in construction project management.
Participate in post-construction project reviews to capture lessons learned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a construction project analyst or in a similar analytical role within the construction industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in the context of construction project environments.
Proficiency in construction project management tools and software.
Knowledge of construction project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Familiarity with financial management and budgeting in the construction industry.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing
