Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Analyst. The role reports to the Vice President, Operations CP2 and is responsible for developing and driving execution of value-add business initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, and create improved processes and approaches to the business. The position can be assigned to one or multiple facilities as well as specific initiatives for business studies or process development responsibilities.
This position is located in Cameron, LA, with travel to Houston as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Leads Operational initiatives and Business case studies/proposals aligned with leadership across multiple assets.
- Leads the development and management of the operational business performance and management system, including a standard reporting format, tracking, and planning tools, mechanism, and communication by establishing the Operating company's business targets and aligning them with the company's vision and strategy.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining the Operations Plan for commissioning and Operating assets - working with the discipline leads to develop and report key targets, KPIs, and measure Performance to drive business decisions. Reporting to Site Executive leadership
- Establishes and maintains a standard reporting format for management reports.
- Leads reporting efforts to leadership on Operational initiatives that inform leadership to take business decisions.
- Ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support Operations activities.
- Ensures the appropriate level of planning, governance and assurance is applied to operations processes and utilizes expertise and analyzing capabilities to ensure that organization and functional teams maintain alignment with business expectations.
- Conduct meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to operational plans and communicate any deviations of current plan.
- Assists operations team in resolution of any priority issues.
- Ensure compliance of industry procedures and practices
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering discipline or Construction Management preferred) or equivalent experience in LNG project engineering and/or construction industry.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience, preferred in LNG and or Production Operations
- Demonstrated success in proactively improving processes and systems
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, and governmental agencies.
- Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional computer software knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Expertise with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 is beneficial.
- Ability to establish a high degree of accountability across the organization through performance measurement stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to communicate effectively and cross functionally across the organization, with the ability to draft focused messages and present key details and conclusions to drive business decisions.
