PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead and implement Lean methodologies to drive operational efficiency by eliminating waste, unevenness, and overburden.
•Assess and optimize workflows across departments to improve cycle times, standardization, and process effectiveness.
•Engage with frontline teams to identify opportunities for 5S, Kaizen, standardized work, and value stream improvements.
•Oversee multiple Lean initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and measurable impact.
•Facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises and regular Kaizen events to analyze current-state processes and design future improvements.
•Develop structured change management strategies to support the smooth adoption of new processes and tools.
•Contribute to high-level strategic planning, including capacity planning, prioritization of capital investments, and engineering initiatives.
•Drive improvements in key performance metrics through the application of Lean problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
•Coach and mentor teams at all levels to embed Lean thinking and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
•Develop and deliver hands-on Lean training programs, such as Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and problem-solving workshops.
•Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes career growth, professional development, inclusivity, and open communication, attracting and retaining top talent while encouraging innovation and collaboration.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (master’s degree preferred).
•3+ years of experience leading Lean-focused process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing, engineering, or corporate environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
•Desirable software skills include Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD.
•Experience with process simulation and analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) is a plus
•The role requires a dynamic mix of office-based strategic work and on-site operational engagement in manufacturing and business environments.
•Frequent and continuous interaction with multiple departments through Kaizen events and follow-up planning sessions.
•Travel is 10% or less, primarily to company sites in Navasota and Veracruz.
