OPERATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:
Job Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Temporary Fence
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our Temporary Fence division. The CSR will be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, providing rental information, preparing quotes, and coordinating installation schedules. This role bridges communication between customers, field crews, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and professional service experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
•Respond promptly and professionally to incoming calls, emails, and ITB (invitation to bid) inquiries
•Provide accurate information on temporary fence products, rental terms, pricing, and installation services
•Prepare and issue detailed quotes and estimates based on customer needs and site specifics
•Schedule fence installations and removals, coordinating with field crews, and operations teams
•Address customer questions, issues, and complaints with a problem-solving mindset; escalate concerns when necessary
•Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely service delivery
•Perform administrative tasks such as filing, reporting, and data entry
•Maintain customer records and support CRM and job tracking systems
•Get involved with collections as needed with past due accounts
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certifications in customer service or related fields are a plus
•Prior customer service experience, with the construction industry is a plus but not required, rental equipment sales, or fencing industries, call center experience
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong phone etiquette
•Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
•Problem-solving skills with a professional, customer-first attitude
•Familiarity with temporary fencing and installation processes is a plus (will be trained if no experience)
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM or estimating software
•Dependable, organized, and a strong team player
•Ability to work as an individual but also in a collaborative environment
Working Conditions:
•Office-based role with regular interaction with field and office staff
•Standard business hours (Monday to Friday); occasional extended hours during peak seasons
•May attend networking or customer events during or after business hours
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk/worktable and/or working on a computer.
· Bending, reaching, pulling, good hand-eye coordination.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
