Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe set up / operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Duties
•
Set up and operate CNC lathes, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
•
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
•
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy of dimensions and tolerances.
•
Perform basic programming of CNC machines as needed for specific projects.
•
Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
•
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
•
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
•
MasterCam or CNC mill experience a plus.
•
Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or in a similar machining role is preferred.
•
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is advantageous.
•
Basic math skills are essential for calculating measurements and adjustments.
•
A strong understanding of machining processes is necessary.
