Oil & Gas Measurement Technician

Experience:

•

3-5 years as an Oil & Gas Measurement Technician

Education:

•

College degree (Associate or Bachelor) or experience in lieu of degree

•

High school diploma or equivalent

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•

Maintaining and operating flow computers and primary devices

•

Maintaining required meter calibration and adhering to company standards of documentation

•

Performing plate changes and general upkeep of the end devices

•

Monitoring measurement and gas quality at assigned meter sites

•

Performing periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination

•

Installing instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities

•

Installing regulated piping systems

•

Calibrating the meters to meet specifications

•

Sampling and recording output of the system

•

Preparing a report on the accuracy of measurement equipment

•

Maintaining the system to keep the flow moving smoothly

•

Performing gas sample analysis, dew point analysis and H2S sampling analysis

•

Using stain tubes and electronic devices for determination of H2S, CO2 and water content

•

Coordinating field activities related to the installation, startup, and operation of new equipment

•

Assisting in the preparation and training of technicians for the certification tests and helping administer the tests

•

Gas Measurement knowledge.

•

Meter testing. Chart recorders, electronic orifice & rotary.

•

Having the ability to troubleshoot diagnostics on communications in electronic meters.

•

Program cellular modems.

•

Ability to diagnose bad or faulty equipment.

•

Ability to communicate well and fill out reports.

•

Gas sampling & moisture analyzing knowledge.

•

Oil & Gas measurement knowledge.

Job Requirements:

•

Strong Mechanical Aptitude

•

Low voltage electronics knowledge.

•

Clean driving record.

•

Strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

•

Mobility- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain

•

Endurance- Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
