HVAC Installer 2nd Position

Lead HVAC Installations – Independently install and configure furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, split systems, and packaged units Refrigerant Management – Properly recover, charge, and leak-test systems per EPA 608 regulations Ductwork & Airflow Optimization – Fabricate, modify, and install sheet metal/flex duct systems with proper static pressure balance Electrical & Controls – Wire thermostats, low-voltage controls, and high-voltage connections (up to 240V) System Startup & Testing – Perform combustion analysis, refrigerant superheat/subcooling checks, and airflow measurements Job Site Leadership – Direct 1-2 helpers, maintain clean worksites, and ensure OSHA safety compliance

Customer Interaction – Explain system operation to customers and address technical questions

Ensure all installations are performed safely and efficiently

Summary

Cardwell HVAC & Plumbing is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Technician (Level 2) to perform skilled installation, replacement, and commissioning of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on HVAC installation experience, strong technical knowledge, and leadership capabilities to mentor junior helpers. This role requires expertise in system sizing, refrigerant handling, ductwork fabrication, and adherence to safety/code compliance.

Ability to interpret manuals, load calculations, and wiring diagrams
