General Purpose (Office Services 1):

Performs duties to support Office Services including mail metering, shipping and receiving, and motor messenger duties. General Essential Functions (Office Services 1):

Manages room setups for onsite meetings.

Performs facilities related work and reports findings to supervisor (inventory checks, site inspections, etc).

Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots various equipment required for the timely processing and distribution of bills and other mailings such as the metering machine and custom envelope printer.

Tracks supplies needed for completing mailings and reorders as needed.

Sorts and delivers mail.

Processes incoming and outgoing USPS First Class, USPS Priority, and expedited mail. Researches and tracks packages upon request.

Performs software updates to systems as needed.

Prepares a variety of reports and documents. Ensures accuracy and compliance.

Communicates with departments, districts, and service centers to ensure accuracy in mail and continuous flow of mail.

Must be knowledgeable of company and USPS policies and procedures regarding all aspects of mail and be able to interpret and explain said policies to others.

Trains, assists, and provides feedback to less-experienced workers at the direction of supervisor, which may include providing feedback to supervisor on progress of training.

Operates Company vehicles in compliance with state/local laws and Company policies and procedures.

Performs other tasks as required, including those in lower levels as referenced in the CBA, with training as needed.

Acts and communicates in a professional, respectful, and cooperative manner in connection with all activities associated with NW Natural.

Follows supervisory instructions and is flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations.

Maintains punctual, regular, and reliable attendance.

Demonstrates the Company’s core values and complies with all Company policies and procedures. Essential Function Requirements (Office Services 1):

Basic math and reading skills.

Knowledge of USPS, FedEx, UPS and company mailing standards preferred.

Knowledge of SC Logic Tracking system, Endicia, EMS, FedEx and USPS software preferred.

Typing at 35 wpm.

Data entry skills of 6,000 kph with 90% accuracy.

Valid OR/WA driver’s license, any required certifications and/or endorsements, and satisfactory driving record.

Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple deadlines.

Ability to interface with employees and customers to answer questions or resolve issues with tact and diplomacy.

Basic ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer using Microsoft software.

Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Ability to stand/walk 4-8 hours per day.

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Basic knowledge of Company’s organization, inter-relationships, policies, procedures, processes and department/work specific requirements.Ability to concentrate on tasks, apply procedures in sequence, make decisions with limited information, and work in a structured team environment.

Qualification Period: 6 months General Purpose (Computer Support 1):

Operates IBM Power series computer system and multiple Windows, Unix or Linux based systems. General Essential Functions (Computer Support 1):

Creates, edits, submits and monitors scheduled production runs using both IBM’s advanced job scheduler and manual processes, to include deviation reporting, creating and sending files to customers and outsource vendors.

Prioritizes sequence of production runs as necessary to meet scheduled and changing deadlines to support customer and vendor needs.

Produces and prints locally as needed critical, confidential, and sensitive production checks, advices, and reports.

Communicates with users/programmers and outside vendors to identify, troubleshoot and implement solutions for processing issues and abends. Escalates issues as necessary.

Operates and maintains local printer, including correcting system and equipment malfunctions. Maintains necessary supplies.

Creates and updates the documentation and instructions needed to perform these roles and functions.

Two years experience in computer operations.

Previous experience working with printers is preferred.

Knowledge of IBM Power series systems and IBM advanced job scheduler.

Basic math and reading skills.

Basic ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Data entry skills of 6,000 kph with 90% accuracy.

Ability to establish priorities, balance multiple assignments, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.

Basic knowledge of the Company’s organization, inter-relationships, policies, procedures, processes, and department/work specific requirements.

Ability to interface with employees and customers to answer questions or resolve issues with tact and diplomacy.

Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Sustained sitting for 6-8 hours per day, hand/finger dexterity, and ability to grasp, bend, lift, reach, and stoop.

Must be able to differentiate and correct print quality issues for printed text and graphics.
