The primary responsibility of the Office Assistant is to learn and assist in the processes of Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll and other general office duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Accounts Payable includes:
•Receiving, posting and paying all invoices and managing purchase orders.
Accounts Receivable includes:
•Assisting the project managers with submitting their monthly pay applications and calling for payment.
Payroll includes:
•Processing payroll and time for the Charleston office plus finishing payroll for all four branches.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Previous experience in commercial electrical or construction industry is highly desired
•Excellent communication skills required
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
•Must have strong work ethic
•Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable
•Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
•Ability to work independently or with a team in a high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
