Office Administrator

Gibbs Wire & Steel Co. is presently seeking an Office Administrator to join our Brampton, Ontario location. The candidate will manage several accounts providing technical support and superior customer service. They will also be responsible for supporting the accounting department where necessary.

Essential Functions

- Support clerical needs with receiving material.

- Certification Management- Upload, filing, recertification, etc.

- Provide support to the invoicing team as needed.

- General clerical needs in the office.

- Follow safety procedures and company policies in the office and shop.

- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Strong computer skills.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- File and match sales paperwork including invoices, sales acknowledgements, etc.

- File and organize office paperwork including material certificates, customs paperwork, etc.

- Support sales and accounting with administrative tasks.

- General office filing of paperwork.

- Basic knowledge of accounting is helpful but not required.

- Basic data entry into the computer system.

Skills and Abilities:

- Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable, maintaining a good attendance record.

- Ability to meet deadlines. Work from written specifications and verbal instructions.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with basic math skills.

- Ability to interact with vendors and teammates in a professional manner.

- Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma required.
