Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
We are seeking a Nuclear Management System Expert with a strong client-service orientation to support utility, vendor, and regulator clients in the implementation, audit, improvement, and optimization of nuclear-grade management systems. This role is highly client-facing and will require the ability to communicate complex regulatory and quality concepts clearly, build strong client relationships, and deliver high-impact consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
•Client Engagement & Advisory
+ Serve as a subject matter expert to nuclear clients on CSA N286, CSA N299, ISO 9001, and related management system requirements.
+ Lead client-facing projects focused on developing, reviewing, or improving their management systems and quality programs.
+ Conduct gap assessments, mock audits, and implementation roadmaps tailored to each client’s regulatory context and operational model.
+ Act as a liaison between client stakeholders, internal technical experts, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on compliance strategies.
+ Plan and manage the delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
+ Support proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations as part of the business development process.
+ Provide technical direction to internal project teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary resources to fulfill client needs.
•Audit & Assurance Support
+ Lead or support third-party, internal, and supplier audits on behalf of clients, with emphasis on nuclear management system compliance.
+ Interpret audit findings and collaborate with clients to develop corrective and preventive actions that are practical, sustainable, and regulator-ready.
•Continuous Improvement & Training
+ Design and deliver customized training for client teams on management system standards, audit readiness, and compliance culture.
+ Provide guidance on risk management, document control, change management, and performance monitoring practices.
What You Need to Succeed
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Nuclear Science, or a related technical discipline.
•10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in client-facing consulting roles within the nuclear or energy industry.
•Deep knowledge of CSA N286, CSA N299, ISO 9001, and CNSC regulatory requirements.
•Proven experience delivering quality and management system solutions to nuclear utilities, suppliers, or regulators.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain regulatory/quality requirements clearly to varied audiences.
•Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and client satisfaction.
•P.Eng. or eligibility for licensure in Canada is a strong asset.
•Experience working directly with or within nuclear utilities, CANDU suppliers, or CNSC-licensed organizations an asset.
•Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
•Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001 or CSA N299) strongly preferred.
