Nuclear I & E Tech III

Summary

Nuclear I&E Technicians perform all types of instrumentation/ electrical activities by calibrating, assembling, disassembling, maintaining, and repairing nuclear power plant equipment. This role also performs preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment in order to maintain optimum levels of equipment reliability.

Basic Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)

Desired Qualifications* Completed ACAD Electrical and I&C Fundamental Training

+ Previous qualification to work on radiation monitors + Experience with Fire Detectors and the 7300 System + Previous nuclear qualifications to work on Relays and Breakers + Experience acting as lead technician on jobs and in projects and performing OJT/TPE

Specific Requirements* 1 year of nuclear power plant experience

Working Conditions* Normal working hours are variable (could be 4 -10's, 5 - 8's or rotating 12-hour shifts, etc.)
