The Wind North America Contractor Safety Lead is responsible for supporting EHS specifically in the areas of contractor, partner and customer management, while supporting other EHS activities as assigned. The role will report to the Wind Global Operations and Center of Excellence EHS Leader. This role will be responsible for driving excellence across the organization regarding developing consistent and standard contractor management programs and expectations.
This position will also be partnering cross functionally, with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all aspects of contractor safety programs are both implemented and actively utilized to drive sustainable improvement both in the Wind organization and GE Vernova. This includes but is not limited to integrating learnings and best practices to the Wind Contractor Safety Management Policy, working with contractor partners on proactive and reactive performance reviews, performing field audits and verifications, and reviewing data and trends related to contractor safety performance KPIs.
The role also requires depth of understanding of EHS risks, operational and legal contractual requirements during tendering (ITO) phase, including being able to review and provide detailed advice on EHS costs and mitigation plans to the Commercial team, and where necessary re-writing contractual requirements with applicable EHS language, while maintaining full regulatory compliance for Project opportunities/bids.
Finally, this role will also provide input and support the wider Wind EHS team as we work to build one successful GE Vernova team.
The base pay range for this position is $113,100.00 - $188,500.00 USD Annual USD Annual USD Annual USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 15%. This posting is expected to close no earlier than June 19, 2025.
