About the Role Nordic Drilling is seeking a Head of Operations to lead all field and office execution for our fast-growing shoring and drilling division. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity to help shape the systems, culture, and legacy of a company built to dominate in performance and precision. You'll report directly to the founder and oversee all day-to-day operations-project scheduling, field team coordination, logistics, safety, and subcontractor management-while building out scalable systems to support aggressive growth in the Southern California market. Responsibilities Full operational leadership from job start to finish Managing field crews, drill operators, and site logistics Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and performance KPIs Hiring, training, and mentoring high-level field leaders Working directly with the founder on strategy and execution Developing SOPs and systems for scalability Ensuring top-tier safety and compliance on all sites Who You Are Proven leader in drilling, shoring, heavy civil, or concrete operations Comfortable building systems in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Obsessed with execution, field performance, and precision Strong communicator with both field crews and GCs Confident managing projects and people without micro-management High integrity, low ego, and all-in on building something elite Qualifications 7-15+ years experience in operations or field leadership in construction Deep understanding of heavy equipment, logistics, and job site management Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus Comfortable with technology (Procore, Sage 100, Blue Beam, scheduling tools) Valid CA driver's license; Class A or equipment certifications a bonus What We Offer Competitive salary + performance bonuses Company truck and full benefits package Direct path to executive leadership as the company grows A seat at the table with a founder who invests in excellence and people A chance to lead a company from the ground up-with legacy in mind To Apply Send a resume and short intro (or video) to: Subject Line: "Head of Ops - Nordic Drilling" Drug screen and background check requried
