The Equipment Coordinator is a critical role responsible for organizing, preparing, and staging all necessary equipment for casing operations on drilling rigs. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of casing equipment and tubulars. The Equipment Coordinator will ensure the casing crew has everything needed for each job, enabling smooth, efficient, and safe operations.
+ Organize and prepare all required casing and tubular equipment, including casing, casing shoes, centralizers, and other essential tools, in accordance with job specifications. + Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and ready for use prior to the scheduled casing job. + Stage equipment at the job site or warehouse for easy access by the casing crew.
+ Maintain accurate inventory records of all casing and tubular materials, tools, and equipment. + Track equipment usage and ensure timely restocking of materials as needed. + Work closely with procurement teams to ensure the necessary items are ordered and delivered on time.
+ Coordinate the movement of equipment and materials from storage to the rig site, ensuring timely delivery and handling. + Assist in the transport of equipment using forklifts or cranes, as needed. + Collaborate with the operations team to ensure proper scheduling and transportation of tools and equipment.
+ Inspect all equipment for quality and safety before it is staged and used in operations. + Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements when handling, staging, and transporting equipment. + Report any damaged or missing equipment to the Operations Manager immediately for repair or replacement.
+ Maintain clear communication with the casing crew, supervisors, and other team members regarding equipment status, job requirements, and any potential issues. + Document all equipment used on each job, including inventory counts and specific equipment details. + Update job logs and reports to keep track of staged equipment and material usage for future reference.
+ Address any equipment-related challenges promptly and efficiently, collaborating with the crew and supervisors to find solutions. + Identify potential problems before they arise and take steps to prevent delays or safety hazards.
