Job Overview
This role provides technical assistance to computer system users. The technician answers questions or resolves computer problems for users concerning the use of computer hardware/ software, printing, installation, email, and operating systems. This is a "hands on" position that requires strong computer and technical troubleshooting skills. The individual must be able to work independently with remote supervision.
Responsibilities
•Configure, install new computers, and assist the user in adapting to their new system as smoothly as possible.
•Configure, install, and deploy servers throughout environment
•Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure (Switches, Firewalls, APs).
•Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot wireless data networking systems supporting day to day operations at office.
•Configure, deploy, and support plant data centers– includes servers, power and cooling.
•Configure, deploy, and support access controls for security systems (RFID, door locks, cameras)
•Support our internal telecommunications infrastructure (RingCentral and MS Teams).
•Configure, deploy, and support mobile technology (scanners, tablets, MDM software)
•Log all support calls into the Help Desk Ticketing System to ensure all requests are tracked, responded to, and closed in a timely manner.
•Work closely with local Operations Teammates to identify problems and develop suitable technical solutions (PLCs, HMIs, and automation devices).
•Troubleshoot, support, and provide enhancement recommendations to Operational Technology Infrastructure – OT network backbone
•Maintain all Oil Dri IT assets in an inventory database by tracking all serial numbers to ensure all resources are always accounted for.
•Support, configure, and deploy print management infrastructure
•Maintain software management solution
•24x7 On-Call Support for assigned weeks, secondary/tertiary point of contact within IT Support for all High Priority issues during these periods
Qualifications
•Associates degree and 5 years of IT support and/or IT infrastructure experience or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years IT support and/or IT infrastructure experience
•2-3 years of experience leading direct reports is strongly preferred
•Server hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience (RAID, VMWare, File Backup and Recovery)
•Microsoft operating systems and applications such as Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint, Office365, and Teams
•Familiar with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, Ethernet)
•Must be able to make fast decisions where remote supervision is not available. This includes subsequent communication of decision to management in a timely manner with the rationale for making the decision.
•Must have strong interpersonal skills and the patience to work with users of all skill levels
•Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, while achieving the desired results on time and within budget.
•Ability to analyze user's needs and creatively provide hardware and software solutions which will allow them to function in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
•Flexibility to work on and solve various unscheduled projects and problems as they occur throughout the business day.
•Professional Certifications offered by Microsoft or Cisco is a plus
Compensation
•Salary Range: $81,275 - $101,648
