United Cooperative Service has an open position for an Internet Services Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Analyst in the Cleburne Internet Services Department. This non-exempt position starts at $35.74 per hour.

The Internet Services Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Analyst will be part of the 24x7 network operations center (NOC). This position focuses on monitoring, analyzing, performing triage and resolution of service impairment and other events impacting commercial and network-wide internet service.
Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, this role will work collaboratively across the cross-section of functions to help support the UCS internet services infrastructure. A large portion of success in this role is coordinating with the 24x7 systems operations center on the electric side during major events such as natural disasters and inclement weather.
Coordinate with Network Operations Manager, other internet services members and independently to act as command and control to orchestrate communications leading to resolution of service impairment issues and verify resolution with members.
Analyze data from monitoring tools to initiate support and guide flow of information throughout UCS (internally) and to members (externally).
Actively participate in pre and post incident analysis to identify areas of exposure and opportunities to contribute to performance improvement
Monitor internet infrastructure proactively for service impairment and hardware/software faults, implement, per procedure, resolution steps.
Respond to network alarms and events per service level agreements.
Manage trouble tickets, internet service and transport provider outage notifications, process escalations, understanding impact to UCS members.
Provide timely and accurate incident updates to leadership and external teams; communicate technical details in a concise manner with awareness of audience.
Operate via command line then automate via modern practices (DevOps, etc).
Participate in or lead a technical project-based effort.
Maintain an awareness of UCS policies, plans, procedures, and equipment relating to the Internet Services team.
Attend relevant best practice internet industry and member relationship management platform training and conferences to increase industry knowledge and career development in areas related to job functions.
Adhere to UCS safety policies and procedures and offer recommendations to the supervisor to enhance UCS safety culture.

Membership: Courteously answer member inquiries and, if unable to do so, directs them to the appropriate per, make every effort to increase their understanding and acceptance of UCSs plans, policies and procedures
Contractors: Serves as lead in monitoring effectiveness of outside technical and other contractors, collects data to enable measurement of effectiveness
Job Knowledge, Training and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.
Equipment Operated: Uses office equipment and computers and related software, able to use best industry practice office equipment. Must have a current driver's license without violations that would prohibit insurability.
Abilities and Skills: Awareness of internet protocol version 4 and 6, border gateway protocol, routers, ethernet switches, optical line terminals, and optical network terminals required. Must possess familiarity with commonly used internet monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Kentik, and others. Must be detail oriented, able to multitask and be a team player yet able to work with little or no supervision. Required to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to communicate information effectively to members and employees of the organization. Must have a solid foundation in mathematics and problem resolution.

Working Conditions: This position requires working in an office environment. Irregular hours including rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. Some overtime and traveling may be required.
