Position Summary: The Network Engineer provides subject matter expertise in enterprise Ethernet switching and routing technologies and assist with build and management of the company’s the network and security infrastructure of within the Network Infrastructure Team.
Essential Functions:
•Install software and hardware components for switches, routers, and firewalls; configure switches, routers and firewalls for use; manage day-to-day operations, and perform regular maintenance via upgrades/patches.
•Create cable matrices, rack elevation and network diagrams.
•Review customer requirements for network, security systems and collaborate with other IT engineers and developers to determine and implement appropriate technical resolution.
•Engage with customers and end-users, relaying information about the project and troubleshooting issues as discovered.
Minimum Requirements:
•Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields that require technical coursework.
•Proven experience with Layer 3 Protocols: BGP, OSPF, Static routing, VRRP, VLSM, DHCP & NTP
•Proven experience with Layer 2 Protocols: ARP, 802.3ad, 802.1Q, 802.1D, 802.1W, 802.1S, 802.3AF, 802.3AT, VLAN, JunOS, ZTP, SPAN, RSPAN
•Proven experience with WAN Technologies: MPLS, SDWAN and SDN
Proven experience with Network Management Systems ( NMS* ) technologies including SNMP, Netflow, jFlow, sFlow, Syslog.
•Juniper Chassis virtualization technologies
•Firewall Technologies: NGFW, IPS, Web filtering, NAT/PAT
CCNA, JNCIA, CWNA, CWDP, and/or Fortinet NSE 4+ certification preferred
