Network Engineer Data Center

We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer

with

project-based engineering experience

to lead the network design, implementation, and documentation of our energy infrastructure projects. This is

not just a security role

—we need someone who can speak fluently about both

network architecture and industrial control systems

, develop detailed

network drawings

, and interface with field and software engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

- Lead end-to-end network design for project deployments: site layout, communication plans, IP schema, diagrams

- Collaborate across control systems, SCADA, and IT teams to ensure complete and secure connectivity

- Specify and configure routing, switching, and security hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)

- Integrate and support industrial protocols like Modbus, DNP3, and OPC-UA

- Maintain technical documentation including as-built network drawings

- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures per NERC, NIST, and ISO/IEC

- Troubleshoot across hardware, software, and protocol layers in live environments

- Support field commissioning and remote access for distributed infrastructure

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field

- 6+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in project-based or industrial settings

- Proven experience in project network deployments, not just operations

- Strong grasp of protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs)

- Familiarity with control systems and operational technology (OT)

- Ability to produce and read network and control architecture drawings

- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

- Willing to travel up to 20% for site commissioning and integration

Preferred Plus

- Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, CompTIA Security+

- Experience with BESS, SCADA, EMS, or utility-scale infrastructure

- Background in energy, utility, or data center environments
