This entry level position is responsible for utilize various equipment to survey gas lines to ensure pipeline integrity. Leaks are then investigated, classified, and documented.
Detect and evaluate leaks on natural gas systems.
Detect issues before they become a hazard.
Document and report leaks to our field supervisor in order for repairs to be scheduled..
Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
Drive to sites in response to routine ticket requests and emergencies.
Ensure company provided vehicle is well maintained and cleaned
Perform all duties in accordance with PPP’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines
Basic understanding of gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
Basic knowledge of analyzing and solving mechanical problems
Able to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
Ability to learn gas detection principles and equipment operation.
Ability to learn to utilize utility maps, records, and other resources to locate underground utility lines accurately
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand outdoors for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain, including urban, suburban, and rural locations, and working under adverse conditions (heat, cold, hills, swamps, wildlife & insects, high traffic areas).
Education Minimum: High school diploma or GED
