Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and qualified personnel to join our team as Natural Gas Infrastructure Inspectors. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing inspection and data collection services on various natural gas distribution projects. This role involves ensuring that construction contractors are adhering to safety and quality standards, as well as maintaining detailed records of their work.
Key Responsibilities
•Inspection and Data Collection: Perform inspections on the replacement of service line risers and the installation of main line anode banks on intermediate high-pressure distribution systems in various counties including Iron and Washington counties as needed.
•Training: Attend Purchaser-provided classroom and field training sessions to understand inspection requirements, documentation, and evaluation procedures.
•Contractor Compliance: Verify that construction contractors are qualified and notify the Inspection Lead of any non-qualified personnel.
•Documentation: Utilize company provided iPads to access mapping systems, Construction Documents, and standard practices.
•Equipment Utilization: Use provided line locators, depth gauges, and pyrometers to assist with inspections.
•Quality Control: Inspect all work and materials against established standards, report any discrepancies, and ensure nonconforming work is corrected.
•Safety Oversight: Suspend work that presents unsafe conditions or environmental nonconformance issues and notify relevant parties.
•Reporting: Complete daily field checklists, consult on construction progress, and use an online evaluation system to assess contractor performance.
•Meetings and Collaboration: Attend safety meetings, participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and maintain professional behavior and appearance.
Requirements
•Experience: Minimum two years of inspection experience with natural gas main and service line construction services and plastic pipe.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in using iOS devices, the CartoPac App, and relevant inspection equipment.
•Employment: Must pass a background check and be qualified in relevant covered tasks.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, work in various environmental conditions including but not limited to working outdoors exposed to the elements, ability to walk long distances, lift up to 50 pounds or more, and climb in and out of utility trenches not to exceed four feet.
•Availability: Willingness to work outside standard hours and in various locations as needed.
Work Schedule
•Standard Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, or 10 hours/day, 4 days/week.
•Overtime: May be required with pre-approval.

•Pay: Competitive rates, with overtime and holiday pay subject to approval.
