Natural Gas Compressor Mechanic

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Compressor Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Gas Compressor Maintenance and repair, and a variety of mechanical systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on Gas Compressors and equipment to identify issues.

- Perform repairs on Gas Compressors, and various types of equipment including generators.

- Utilize schematics to understand mechanical systems and troubleshoot effectively.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.

- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs needed and services performed.

- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.

- Assist with heavy lifting as required during the repair process.

Qualifications

- Previous mechanic experience is essential

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of equipment.

- Proficiency in electrical systems and soldering techniques is a plus.

- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is advantageous.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
