An internship in Information Technology at Motiva will provide you with a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding work environment where you can help build, implement and support IT solutions in a variety of complex business functions. You will also gain exposure to cybersecurity practices, helping to safeguard critical systems and data from potential threats.
As an IT Intern, your summer project(s) will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to various functions of Motiva’s IT division. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with cybersecurity initiatives such as monitoring system activity, identifying vulnerabilities, and supporting remediation efforts
- Pursuing a B.S. in IT related field
- Basic computer skills, MS Windows, MS office and MS Excel
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- The ability to learn new software as required for project assignments
- Ability to follow detailed instructions in a logical manner
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee, temporary resident, or an individual who possesses valid work authorization.
