DESCRIPTION:
Graymont’s Indian Creek plant, located in Townsend MT, is seeking a highly Skilled, organized, motivated, and self-directed individual to fill the position of Mobile Maintenance Service Technician. The Mobile Technician will be responsible for all plant wide mobile equipment including but not limited to; Drills, loaders, skid steers, trackmobile, Vacuum truck, Dump trucks, Grader, manlifts, pickup trucks, and all other mobile equipment. This includes trouble shooting, diagnostics, repairs, as well as preventative maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant is expected to be hands on and will be responsible for the following:
•Know, recognize, and adhere to all best practices for safety and environmental.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area.
•Work schedule typically M-F. Willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to perform maintenance around production schedule.
•Ongoing inspections of equipment for condition, wear, etc. Record findings as part of the preventative maintenance program.
•Maintain equipment so that breakdowns are kept to a minimum. Perform this work without detailed plans and instructions from a supervisor.
•Use all common tools, torches, welders, and specialty mobile equipment tools.
•Perform installation of equipment working to close specifications using instruments for alignment.
•Ability to work on modern mining and mobile equipment as well as older equipment.
•Ability to use pc’s, scanners, code readers, and the like to troubleshoot and set up equipment.
•Ability to operate cranes.
•Dismantle, repair, and assemble equipment in the facility.
•Work from simple installation and assembly drawings and blueprints in the installation of new machinery. Capable of drawing legible sketches for file.
•Communicate and work in cooperation with production personnel to ensure equipment up-time is maintained at the highest possible standards in terms of product quality, productivity, and efficiency.
•Participate in maintenance budgeting and ensure maintenance costs are well managed.
•Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Established track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
•Proven leadership skills demonstrated ability to learn and work effectively in a team environment.
•High school diploma or GED, technical mobile maintenance training, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mobile maintenance field.
•Current valid driver’s license.
•Ability to lift 75 pounds.
•Capable of climbing steps and ladders to work at high elevations including man baskets.
•Willing to work overtime under the circumstances of the job and emergency situations.
•Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations, good housekeeping and cleanup procedures must be followed on all jobs.
•Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that can be applied to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
•High aptitude in the use of various computer software (JDE, excel, word & other MS software.), experience with the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), able to learn new applications (training on Graymont specific applications will be provided).
•Excellent communicator (both written and oral), self-directed and highly motivated requiring minimal direct guidance.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high paced environment.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving and decision-making skills.
•Familiar with JDE, able to issue and update work orders, and order parts as needed.
•Sense of teamwork and cooperation.
