Martin Marietta is seeking a Mobile Lube Technician to work out of the Maple Grove Maintenance Facility. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining a fleet of stationary and mobile equipment, in a safe and timely manner. This is a union position and membership in the Local 49 Operating Engineers union is required, Apprentices are welcome to apply. Summary
The technician performs scheduled maintenance year-round on a variety of heavy equipment. Work is performed both in-shop and at multiple field locations. They will operate a Lube Truck throughout the Twin Cities metro area to maintain and service all assigned mining and off-road vehicles and construction heavy equipment. This position also washes mobile equipment as a part of regular housekeeping and in preparation for equipment moves.Essential Functions
This role will be based out of the maintenance facility in Maple Grove, Minnesota – 25% in a shop setting, 75% in the field/outdoors at surface mines and asphalt plants.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to feel, or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position at an average of 45-50 hours per week and may require additional overtime as needed. During the summer season this position is typically working an afternoon shift. In the winter months this changes to a day shift.
